Problem with 2 screens on Surface Pro 2

Updated on 04-02-2016 in MST Hub

Hi everybody,

I have a Microsoft Surface Pro 2 and I try to connect 2 screen (2 HP LA2205wg) with display port. So I bought Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort (CAC-1110) and a MST Hub DisplayPort 1-2 (CSV-5200).
When I connect all, my 2 screen HP display the same. It’s not an extended Desktop.
In display property, I have only 2 screens : Surface screen and just one HP.
My chipset graphic driver is updated. I don’t understand.
Can you help me?
Thanks a lot.

Flav

Hi Flav,
We have a SP2 here so i will try and duplicate the setup.
A CSV-5200 + CAC-1110 work together that has been tested.
What OS are you on and what graphics driver and /or graphics control panel verison ?

Hi,
Yes I have installed Graphics Control Panel. The last version.
I will verify for HP screens.

HP LA2205wg have display port 1.2, so I think it is compatible.
In the specifications of your product, you do not give the list of compatible screens.
I test also with 2 screen Lenovo and doesn’t work also.
I am really disappointed.I think to return the product for refund

Hi Flav,
I just tested on our SP2, we have WIN10 running on that and driver version 10.18.15.4256.
Plugged in the CSV-5200, first the USB then the DP with CAC-1110 to the Mini-DP out.
Connected Sumsung 23″1080p 60Hz screens (from our EF6 setup) really very standard and common screens, and running like a charm! I Did not have to do anything … here’s alink to the video i made with my phone. Sorry for the poor quality but not easy to connect the CSV-5200 and 2 screens while holding your phone :-S

and yes you are right we do not have a listing of compatible screens, sorry about that. However normally screens with DP1.2 input also support MST functionality … only very rarely they do not. From the thousands of MST Hubs we sold i only encountered that 2 times so far … 3 times now if that would b the issue you are having.
Anyway what OS are you running ?
