[REPORT#108680]Mac Pro 2019 (7,1) and Apple Cinema 30

Post Content:

Does it work better if the adapter is connected from the Thunderbolt port of a Thunderbolt dock or hub? Of course, that solution is very expensive but it would be interesting to see if it’s different.

Did you try all the built-in Thunderbolt ports of the Mac Pro?
2 on the top.
2 from the I/O card.
Up to 4 from an MPX module.

Did you check the EDID of all the Apple Cinema 30″ Displays? Some indicate HDCP support and older versions of the display indicate no HDCP support.

The HDCP ON version of the firmware is for displays with the HDCP indicator.

The HDCP OFF Version of the adapter firmware is for displays that indicate no HDCP support.

You can e-mail [email protected] to get a firmware updater for each version. You’ll need to use Windows (Boot Camp) to do the update.
