Hi Cyb3rWatcher,
It is all about bandwidth and of course the correct cables used.
In your case here is the following;
1920 px, 1080 px, 144 Hz, 24 bit, aspect ratio 1.78, 7.17 Gbit/s.
8.31 Gbit/s, CVT-R, 10.39 Gbit/s TMDS, Pixelclock 346.429 MHz.
7.99 Gbit/s, CVT-R2, 9.99 Gbit/s TMDS, Pixelclock 333.105 MHz.
About 10Gbps is going to your monitor if you choose to run at 144Hz at 1080p
A standard HDMI High Speed 1.4 cable should be sufficient in my opinion.
