I wanted to know if this cable would be ok for my LG38Gn950 :

it's 160HZ / 3840x 1600 so not 4k but a bit below.

Should not be a problem. But you need a Display1.4 source.

My screen does have DP 1.4 great then thanks

That's nice but what about your GPU? Does that have DP1.4 too?
