What is the difference between CAC-1332 and CAC-1333?
The CAC-1333 replaced the CAC-1332 due to chipshortages.
There is no major difference other than that the CAC-1332 needed additional power via micro USB.
I purchased CAC-1334. When I use it with PS5 and Apple Studio Display, it cannot reach 4K and there is no sound. So maybe I should find a CAC-1332 have a try? But I cannot purchase it, currently it is in stack nowhere.
The Apple Studio Display is quite new! Congrats with that. But is that not a 5K display? Doubt you have an other 4K display but if you do, have you tried getting 4k60Hz there?
Are you getting any display out of the CAC-1334? If so what resolution and hertz?
Where are you located?
I have a C-Force Portable 4K display, it works fine.
I tried CAC-1334 with PS5 & Switch and Apple Studio Display (5K+No HDR monitor):
1080p@60Hz, No audio, No HDR
I tried CAC-1334 with PS5 and C-Force portable monitor (4K+HDR monitor):
4K@60Hz, audio works, No HDR
1080p@60Hz, audio works, HDR

Maybe you could consider build one with HDMI 2.0/2.1 to USB-C DP 1.4? Since DP 1.4 has a good support for HDR.
Maybe you could consider build one with HDMI 2.0/2.1 + USB power input to USB-C DP 1.4? Since DP 1.4 has a good support for HDR, and the USB power input is good for Apple Displays’s audio and camera.
The bandwith from HDMI2.0 to DP1.4 is not there. HDMI 2.0 is 18Gbps and DP1.4 is 32Gbps. You can “shrink” bandwith but you can not increase it. (You can with DSC but not from HDMI 2.0 afaik)
The chipset from HDMI 2.1 to DP1.4. is not there yet. Hench why no manufacture has one.
With the C-Force Display the CAC-1334 does what it should do 4K60Hz and sound. No HDR because of bandwith limitation.
So I assume it is something with the Apple Studio Display. I would not be able to put my finger on that as I do not own one and never will.
I’ll try to use one with EDID and can figure out whether it works or not. And also I’ll try to covert it to DisplayPort and than back to USB-C DP.
You do a great job. Currently, only your cable could transfer PS5 to Apple Studio Display , even though it is only 1080p@60Hz.

PS5 <-> gofanco Prophecy HDMI 2.0 to DisplayPort 1.2 Converter (EDID set to 4K@60Hz) <-> Wacom Link Plus <-> Apple Studio Display
Finally it works with 4K@60Hz with No Audio and No HDR.
Thats a whole setup there, just to game on that screen. 🙁 So sad such an expensive screen and you can’t “just” connect it.
Looking at this solution, think the CAC-1331 would work too then?
the PS5 cannot handshake with Apple Studio Display.
So it needs an EDID to tell PS5 the HDMI standard.
I tried this success:
PS5 (Required Settings: HDR Off)
→ gofanco Prophecy 4K EDID Emulator – 17 EDID Modes (5-On: 4K@60Hz 4:2:0 8/10/12Bit 3D HDR video & 2ch audio)
→ Club3D CAC-1334
→ Apple Studio Display
4K@60Hz, No Audio, No HDR.
