Hello again Paul. The standard HDMI cable didn’t help much and I even used other cables like HDMI to DVI-D dual link, Thunderbolt to HDMI. My settings from windows and nVidia Control Panel still seems to be stuck at 1920×1080@60Hz. With the Thunderbolt-HDMI cable I only can get a higher refresh rate if I set 1280×1024@75Hz or 800×600@120Hz but is not what I want, and I know it’s possible but didn’t find how. With the standard HDMI High Speed 1.4 cable I get 1440×900@119Hz. Since I bought this BenQ XL2411Z I had only headaches. I browsed a bit on the site and I found this mini DP to DVI-Dual Link Adapter and I would much appreciate your advice not only because it’s a bit expensive but because i’m sick of trying and buying lots of cables. Could that adapter be my salvation? If it helps, my system is a custom config laptop:

Intel Core i7 4800MQ @ 2.70GHz;
Motherboard P370SM (U40);
16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 798MHz (9-9-9-24);
2 x 4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M SLI enabled;
ForceWare version: 347.09;
Generic PnP Monitor (Mobile) (1920×1080@60Hz);
BenQ XL2411Z Monitor (1920×1080@60Hz);
Windows 7 Professional 64-bit SP1;
1x Thunderbolt (mini DP) port, 1x HDMI and a bunch of USB 3.0
