Hi Sebastian,
I think you need to check first if the HDMI cable is a high bandwidth version. It is not the same watching a standard movie at 1080p than in 3D which requires a higher bandwidth. 
Make sure that you have install the latest Windows Updates and also the Intel graphics drivers. We do not know what notebook exactly you have, the DV6 has a few different models and therefore we cannot pinpoint the graphics chipset.
Also make sure that you send a mail to PowerDVD to explain the situation and see if they can help you out.
