HI All

hoping you can help, i have a HP 800 G4 mini PC (2yh11AV) i purchased the HDMI flex port which is supposed to be HDR and HDMI 2.0a compliant but i am unable to get it to output HDR at anything higher than 30HZ it has a Parade PS 175 chipset on firmware 0x08_0x2a which might need updating but i cannot find anyone from HP to help there support tells me to go to parade who tell me to go to HP which is rightly so as HP make the adaptor

so why am i here? looking to find out which adaptor i would need to buy from you to enable 4k60 HDR output 🙂

Hi lostmage,

I am not sorry what you are asking is not really clear. The adapter does not enable HDR that is your system and videocard combined that makes HDR output possible.

would you be so kind to explain what an HDMI flex port is? is this a specific HP product?

Club3d has many cables that support 4k HDR and some adapters that do the same however as of now I am not sure what you are looking for. Do you want HDMI to HMDI or Displayport to HDMI adapter or just an HDMI or Displayport cable that supports 4k and HDR?

If you would be so kind to provide me with this information i can advise you what you could buy from club3d

HI Clubbie

thanks for the reply and yes i didn’t make it easy sorry about that, i am looking for a usb-c to HDMI cable and unsure if the PC i have can support them

the HDMI flex port is an addon card supplied by HP to add a HDMI port but i am finding this does not work and firmware support even harder to find to explore that avenue so i think purchasing an adaptor from you guys will be the way forward

the PC is a HP 800 G4 mini PC (2yh11AV) which contains Intel 630 UHD graphics so the system can provide HDR am just struggling to work out which usb ports it has so wondering if you can assist there also

Hi Lostmage,

if you have the HP 800 G4 mini PC (2yh11AV) described in the following pdf user guide from HP, then the USB-c port is solely for data and charge. If it would support alt-mode HP would have mentioned it. however port 3 as seen on the specification sheet has the ability to add an aditional usb-c port with alt-mode, the next question would be do you have this installed. if not then the only conections that remain are the standart Displayport 1.2 that does not support HDR.

in short if you have the standart setup HDR is not supported the USB-c on the front is charge and data only.
