I just received my cable in the mail plugged it in and still was not able to reach any higher that 30hz. My setup is a Evga GTX 770 and a 40in Samsung JU7100 tv I’m using the Ultra Slim 18Gbps Active High Speed HDMI® Cable, 6ft Silver cable but have also tried the amazon basics hdmi cable as well. any ideas to get this to work?

Just to give a little more information i was using the aLLreLi adapter before this and was able to get 4k at 30hz with YCbCr4:4:4, and 4k at 60hz with YCbCr4:2:0.
However, with the CAC-1070 i’m only able to achieve 4k at 30hz with YCbCr4:4:4 with no option to get up to 60hz, and it’s a little unstable when if i switch from extended monitors to just my Tv all i get is a black screen with little white specks.
i have also noticed that someone who posted to the amazon review of the product had gotten it to work with the same Tv model as me, so i’m wondering if perhaps i have gotten a defective adapter.

Same here, simply does not work higher than 4K / 30hz (GTX770 and Sharp 4K)

As it works in lower resolution I don’t think my unit is defective, it’s just that the technology does not work.

Very disappointing

Hi Guy’s,

Please check:

* Color Depth, often default set to 10 bits or even 12 bits. Most TV’s do not support higher than 8 bpc.

So set back the color depth to 8 bpc on your pc.

* Make sure to have the latest AMD Crisom driver installed.

* Make sure the HDMI port your using on the TV is HDMI 2.0 capable or 3840x2160p 60HZ capable. Often TV’s have like 4 HDMI ports, but only 1 is suited for “2.0” standard.

*  Turn on “UHD Color” if possible in the settings of your TV for the HDMI port to which your pc is connected.

I had to create a custom resolution with cvt-rb then it worked at 4k 60hz 4:4:4 RGB 8BIT
I’m using a JU7100 40in (with input labeled as PC AND UHD enabled) with an EVGA 670 FTW with some generic 6ft hdmi cable.
