CAC-1587 with LG C2

Hi, I just today got the 1587 active adapter cable (USB-c w/ DP 1.4 -> HDMI 2.1) and I can get only max. 4k30 on my LG C2. All settings on the TV should be fine (deep color, PC mode). I can get 120 Hz from a RTX 3060 and my series X over HDMI.

With the adapter however I am limited to 4k30, both on a very recent Intel 12th gen laptop with TB4 and on my desktop with DP 1.4 over USB-c.

Did anyone get this to work? Might my devices lack DSC? Although, even without DSC I should be able to achieve at least 4k60…

Could you try and disable G-Sync or any VRR?

Could you link the laptop as well?

I did try disabling VRR/low latency mode/game mode completely, it did not make a difference.

The laptop is a dell precision 5570 with a 12th gen i7. It should support DP 1.4a with DSC. I tried all three of the TB4/usb-c ports.

Please reach out to [email protected] maybe they are able to help you further.

All seems correct to achieve 4K120Hz.

All drivers up to date? Firmware/BIOS included?
