Hello everyone! Is it posssible to get a 120hz on old SAMSUNG 2233rz, with my new Lenovo Y510p? Laptop has only HDMI and VGA and Samsung 2233rz has only DVI-D? Any reasons? As for now, the max freq I can get is 77hz with hdmi to dvi cable. Thanks!

Hi Kuribrosai,
I think you will need to have HDMI1.4b support on the Laptop output to be bale to run 1080p in 120Hz. So you need to check with Lenovo on that one … If it does support it, you should be able to use a HDMI to DVI adapter with 120Hz/3D support to connect the screen

Hi Kiuribrosai,

Did not test that, but i am quite sure that won’t work.
You will need an adapter cable that has it internal chip running at minimum 240MHz,
or in other words an “active” adapter/cable. Unfortuantely we do not have such an adapter in our assortment 🙁
However that should not be all that hard to find online it would think

It’s okay 🙂
I’m using my new Dell u2515h right now.
Don’t need adapter anymore 🙂
