CSV-1580 freezing & restarting

Im using a CSV-1580 dock station with an XPS 13 Plus Laptop (12th gen Intel CPU) + 2 monitors & sometimes it works fine for a few hours but then the laptop starts re-initializing the screens & everything gets freezed for ~5-10 seconds. Sometimes it falls into some sort of a loop & keeps reinitializing the connection w/ monitors.

When I use another dock station with 1 monitor then everything seems to be fine. Ive also tried to connect 2 monitors directly to the thunderbolt ports with no issues so far.

Is it something known?

Do you use adapters from the CSV-1580 to your displays? and what resolutions are you trying to achieve?

Which Displays do you use?

I’m using 2 DELL S2721DS, I’ve tried 2 resolutions: 2560×1440 & 3840×2400 – it fails in both cases.

Both monitors are connected with the provided Club3D adapters.

Which adapters are they? As the DELL S2721DS has HDMI and DP. Please note that the displays native resolution is QHD 2560 x 1440 bij 75 Hz. 3840×2400 is not supported by the displays.

To my knowledge the CSV-1580 only comes with a cable and no adapters are supplied with the hub.

Indeed, 3840×2400 is the screen resolution of my laptop. Im using 2560×1440 w/ the displays.

The monitors are connected using DP (Club3D CAC-1557 adapters).

Could you check your USB settings on the power management Tab?

Might be that the USB is shutting down after a few hours.

These settings look good, also the issue happens while I’m using the laptop.

@Varg Did you get a good resolution to this problem?
