Dell 3007 HDCP with Club3D CAC-1510 USB-C adapter

Hi. I recently got the CAC-1510 DVD-D adapter, HDCP on version, to use my Dell 3007 as a second monitor with my 2020 iMac. It works great, but with one exception – I can’t play any copy protected content on sites like Netflix. The monitor used to play copy-protected content fine as a second monitor for my 2014 iMac. Is there a solution for this?

Hi this adapter has an Off and On Firmware version – its mostly delivered with ON and its OFF to accommodate older devices. How do you know you have the On version? On should be able to play HDCP Content –

Hi – thanks for getting back to me. The on version is what I bought and I assume that’s what I have?

Hi, I also have a Dell 3007 and could use some clarification too.
It’s an older device (circa 2007), so I was expecting to buy the OFF version of the CAC-1510. Does that mean that copy-protected content won’t play?
What will happen if I get the ON version?
Also, can I change the firmware once I receive the device?
