I am searching a cable which i can connect with my RX5700XT via Displayport to my monitor with HDMI and a resolution of 2560×1080 pixels, running at 75HZ. I can only find DP-to-HDMI cables for 4k @60HZ.

HI Elperdano,

The CAC-1073 can do what you ask.

First thanks for that quick reply.

But when i also want Free-Sync and HDR? Does it also work with the CAC-1073?

Hi Elperdano,

No It does not support Free-Sync. You might need to use the CAC-1080 with a propper HDMI 2.0 cable.

But let me try and help you, what Display are you using? Not every FreeSync Display supports FreeSync of HDMI.

Hey Baak,

its the LG 29WL 😀

OK, so the screen only has HDMI. It must be supported over those ports then.

I would suggest you to get the CAC-1080 + CAC-1310. If you really want to go from DP to HDMI.

But why not just go from HDMI to HDMI with the CAC-1310?

The problem with HDIM->HDIM is that the GPU detects the other monitor (currently connected via DP->HDIM as the main Display, because the GPU prefers the Display connectet to the DP. But I want my LG as my main Display. The reason for that is, that in Games i wanna play with 75HZ and when i set the Game to “Borderless WIndow” it syncs with the 60HZ from the “main” Display.

You can set a main display in the Windows settings. Or am I thinking to simple?

I’ve don this, but when I start the PC i see my Bios Settings on the Second screen which indicates that the Gpu prefers this Display. So the Display settings are just for windows and not for the Gpu i guess.

Is your LG 29WL set to 144Hz in Windows actually?

Right click on desktop

Display Settings

Scroll down

Advanced display settings

Display adapter properties for Display1 (or 2 depending)

then select Monitor

Screen refresh rate set it to 144Hertz

This should solve the borderless window issue.

I set it to 75HZ, but it doesn’t fix the problem

Well then you have to try the CAC-1080. With a HDMI 2.0 cable. Otherwise I don’t know anymore.

There aren’t any DisplayPort to HDMI adapters that support FreeSync or G-Sync or Variable Refresh Rate, is there? Only HDMI 2.1 displays can support that? No-one makes a DisplayPort to HDMI 2.1 adapter that support Variable Refresh Rate.
