Using CAC1334 to connect PS5 and LG Ultra 5K monitor, but the monitor does not have any picture
Not sure if that is going to work, CAC-1334 only support 4K60Hhz. have you tried the CAC-1334 with a different source? Like a PC or Laptop? What happens then?
Sam for me.
I want to connect the CAC1334 from my notebook (HDMI in) to my portable display HP E14 G4 (USB-C/DP out), but nothing is working.
Has anyone an idea what could be wrong?
Thanks for the fast reply.
Yes I have connected the CAC-1334 on the one port of the HP display and a USB-C charger on the other port of the display. The display tells me, that no signal is available on both ports.
Which notebook are you using?
I assume you connect the CAC-1334 to the port with the D indication on the HP E14 G4 correct?
Does the notebook recognize any new display attached in the display options?
I have tried it with a “Asus Zenbook UX501VW-FY057R” and also with a MacBook Pro with the original Apple USB-C-to-HDMI adapter. Both do not recognize a new connected display. With the original USB-C-to-USB-C adapter it works on both machines.
Both USB-C ports of the HP E14 G4 display are marked with the D and compatible to display port connections. but I have tried it on both sides.
One idea I have in mind is, that the signal of the video and the power supply has to be on the same port to recognize a connection. Is der a product from Club 3D which has a HDMI-to-USB-C (DisplayPort) connection and also provides some external power supply?
Only the CAC-1332 comes to my mind, but not sure if that can power the display. And I believe Club 3D made that end of life. But if you can find one maybe try that?

From Emiaostein
There are two LG UltraFine 5K models. Only the latest (27MD5KL-B) can accept a USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode signal. The first model (27MD5KL-A) only accepts Thunderbolt input. Even so, the LG has no buttons and might not automatically turn on without a USB signal.
The CAC-1332 includes a USB 2.0 input and is therefore superior to any other HDMI to USB-C solution that does not include USB input.

If you can’t find the CAC-1332, then the SIIG HDMI to USB-C Port 4K 60Hz Converter Adapter may be an option but may also be end of life or out of stock.
