What kind of DVI cable are you using, also make sure the USB-A is connected for power.

The cable best to use for this device is a DVI-D or DVI-I cable.

The CAC-1130 is a Mini DisplayPort to Dual Link DVI. Its also USB-A connected. When i connect it, the Apple Cinema Display 30′ shows the HD screen for just a second, then it goes black. Leaving floating coloured pixels behind.

From Marthead

I am aware of the device, the question remais what cable do you use?

reccomendend for this product is a DVI-I or DVI-D cable.

further more it could be a power issue what type of macbook air do you have, please specify year of production.

I use the DVI cable attached to the ACD, this one is DVI-D. And my macbook air is a late 2015 model. 13 inch. See this link : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_Cinema_Display#Technical_specifications. I have a 30 inch.

Hi,

this is not a common issue, have not seen this on the forum before.

My advise is contact the company where you both it and invoke your right of guarantee.

yes, unfortunately is a common issue (see my post ). and it happens with devices later of 2011 (as i have a Mac mini 2011 and it works ok). so i suspect that Club3D simply don’t have an agreement with Apple and they “forget” to advise such!! i can’t imagine any other possible situation. If someone has a post 2011 or 2012 (i don’t have any of that age) and have no issues it would be helpful to post the data (connections , OS, etc).

Hi Argos – please contact [email protected] for a firmware update. HDCP functionality needs to be removed from the adapter as the ACD does not support it
