Dear CMP,

This is most probably ue to the fact that your source system, or better yet, its HD 520 graphics, does not support more than 3 screens total.

There is most probably a, Intel Core i5-6300U CPU inside your system, this is a very often used CPU, which has Integrated Graphics HD 520. Thsi does have support for DisplayPort 1.2 but is limited to support max 3 external screens.

What system do you have (Brand / Type)?

If you just want to make use of 4 external screens with their own picture on it (not make a single large surface out ot it), then I would advise to use an MST Hub for up to 3 screens plus an External USB Graphics Adapter to work-around the 3 external screens limitation. Of course you can also use 2 x USB Grpahcis Adapter for 2 screens to get to 4 screens and skip the MST Hub …

CSV-2300D = USB 3.0 to DVI-I (max 1920×1080 at 60Hz)

CSV-1474 = USB 3.0 to 2 x HDMI 2.0 (for 2 x 4K 60Hz)

… and your first suggestion – usb3.0 to dvi – works like 4 Display´s? Without any tricks …?

In that case you would 3 screens off your MST Hub plus one off the CSV-2300D.

Windows will see 4 screens and you can set that to extended display, just like a “normal” connected screen.

First install the driver (although it probably works without as well), reboot, connect CSV-2300D and it works.
