Need help getting DisplayPort to Dual Link DVI working at 2560×1600

I purchased a CAC-1010-A to connect my Lenovo docking station (model 40AY) to a Dell 3007WFP-HC. I only get 1280×800 on the Dell monitor, which is the same resolution I get if I use a simple DisplayPort to DVI-D cable. I know the CAC-1010 is getting power because if I unplug the USB power cable, I get no signal on the monitor.
What should I do to get the full 2560 x 1600 at 60 Hz?

Could you reach out to [email protected] ?

I think you need the CAC-1010, assuming the Dell 3007WFP-HC supports HDCP, you don’t need the CAC-1010-A.

They’ll be able to assist you.

Reading some more about the Dell 3007WFP-HC seems like it does not support HDCP.

Do you have the correct DVI cable? Dual Link?

None of the DVI cables I owned were Dual Link, so I made a point to purchase a cable that specified Dual Link support. Since my original post, I purchased a second Dual Link DVI cable (different brand) just in case the first one was defective, but I’m getting the same behavior. So, the odds of both cables not working as advertised seem low.

I read the same link as you about HDCP support which I why I opted for the CAC-1010-A.

I actually thought this forum was the official path to support, thanks for the pointer, I’ll email directly.

DisplayPort to Dual Link DVI adapters require 4 lanes of HBR to support Dual Link timings (8bpc pixel clock beyond 165 MHz).

The 40AY is a USB-C dock that supports USB 10 Gbps so it has only 2 lanes of DisplayPort but it supports DisplayPort 1.4 so it should support HBR3 and I think it has an MST hub so it can convert 2 lanes of HBR3 to 4 lanes of HBR even without DSC so I don’t know why it wouldn’t work. I can’t find mention of MST in the user manual of the dock. I would look at the DPCD info from the DisplayPort to be sure.

Did you try connecting the CAC-1010 directly to the computer, bypassing the docking station?
