Hello,

I bought a USB C to Displayport Cable 1.4 off amazon. I am trying to use it for my LG Ultrafine 5k and PC and I can’t see anything. It’s even bi-directional. How come it doesn’t work?

Which item code does the cable has?

CAC-1517 or CAC-1557?

The cables do not have the function Power Delivery. That is my geuss. Have you tried with a power source connected?

My monitor also came with an extra cable that connects to the ipad pro. There is no power delivery and it works. The cable I got was the

CAC-1557

Which LG UltraFIne 5K display do you have? Only the newer model 27MD5KL will work with a non-Thunderbolt input. Note that the display is limited to 4K60 or maybe 5K39 when Thunderbolt is not used.

I would try a solution that includes USB so you can use the USB features of the display (audio, camera, USB ports, brightness control) such as the Belkin Charge and Sync cable.

I have the newer model. I thought I’d have an easy time finding cable for this monitor. It’s a pain if you try to use it with a non apple device

There’s also the CAC-1332 which is a HDMI 2.0 to USB-C (includes USB 2.0).

You can also maybe install Boot Camp drivers for the LG UltraFine 5K.
