USB Type C to RJ45 2.5Gbps Ethernet Adapter (CAC-1520) not recognized

Hi, I recently purchased a USB 3.2 Gen1 Type C to RJ45 2.5Gbps Ethernet Adapter (CAC-1520).
I am using it with a MacBook Pro 2019 (15 inch). I installed the driver downloaded directly from realtek (ver. 1.0.20). My operating system is MacOs Catalina (10.15.2).
The problem, basically, is that if I turn on the computer with the adapter already connected, the system finds it as a standard network adapter and then loads the native MacOs drivers. In order for the adapter to be recognized correctly, I have to disconnect and reattach it. Or connect it only when the system is already loaded.

Any tips to solve the problem?

Thank you very much in advance.
Dear greetings to all

Hi Bubeli,

This is very unfortunate,it sounds like this is a dedicated MacOs issue. I have no idea how to solve this might be interesting to post the same question on a Mac related forum.

please if you find a solution share it with us 🙂

Thanks for your answer, I’ll try asking on a forum dedicated to Mac computers.
