While using the CAC-1504, the video signal suddenly breaks and returns

Nice to meet you.

I play video of UHD 60p using iMacPro (2017) with movie playback software called “millumin”.

There are two iMacPro in the same environment, one is output with HDMI 2.0 with CAC – 1504 and the other with DisplayPort 1.2 with CAC – 1507.

I thought that both are working very well, but the external output is suddenly interrupted at the rate of once every 20 hours with CAC-1504 and it returns.

The movie continues to be played on the playback software while it is interrupted and returns.

There is no such problem in CAC – 1507.

I am in trouble because I do not know why it will be like that.
I’m happy if you give me hints for solution.

The specifications of iMacPro I use are as follows.

· MacOS High Sierra (Ver 10.13.4)
· Processor 2.3 GHz Intel Xeon W
· Memory 128GB 2666MHz DDR4
· Graphics Radeon Pro Vega 64 16368MB
· Storage 2 TB SSD

Thank you very much.

Good day minmin,

I am sorry to inform you that the updater program does not work on MAC OS, so firmware update for the adapter needs to be done on a Bootcamp or WIN system. Very sorry about that.

Hello.

I was attempting to firmware updates from Windows10PC, but it does not work.

Run the AuxUpdete_0_08.exe on the desktop, but we chose the graphics card to display the “No graphic card found!”.

Firmware updater it’ll also corresponds to Windows10?

Thank you.

Hello minmin,

The updater programm works on WIN10. Please connect the adapter to the Graphics output on the source system, and with HDMI cable to a screen and turn that on.

Please do check the USB C output on the source system is able to output a video signal, becuase not all ISB C outputs can do that. It needs to have support for DisplayPort Alternate Mode or Thunderbolt specs.
