i heard that it sometimes also helps that if you connect 2 screens, to connect the tv thru adapter as second screen, so not as main …
Hi Ivan,
No i the card will not support more than 6 screens.
If you want to connect more screens you can place a second card, i would advise to use a AMD Based card for that. Or use a External USB Graphics like CSV-2300H, this is not for gaming but will give you an extra screen for standard use.
Hi Higsy,
Yes i work at Club3D.
The MST Hubs should support 144Hz just fine.
Not used very often though, since the reason people get an MST Hub is normally to connect as many screens as possible (not so much to get the highest resolution possible). So yes 2 screens at 1080p 144Hz will work thru a MST Hub.
Hi Croustian68,
Sorry about this, i will pick this up and answer you from support mail
can you also please check with HP if those screens are compatible with MST functionality ?
Hi Xinrag,
Something must have gone wrong then, because those support emails are normally answered daily on weekdays.
Aha, I did a search n your email address and see 1 email coming in yesrterday afternoon 🙂 On it …
Hi Jordan,
That cable looks of a good quality, it even states it is an Active Cable which is normally not necessary up to 3 Meters/10Ft. Since the Adapter is also active, perhaps the combination gets “too active” … you have a possibility to try a good quality passive cable ?
worth a try, please send an email to [email protected] for that
Hi Terracode,
Thanks for the feedback.
Hi DeathOfChaos,
Nope sorry we have not been able to get any feedback from Vizio, nor have i heard of any end-users receiving any help/tips/trick from Vizio. I do know that most Vizio TV’s actually only support 4:2:0 on the “HDMI2.0” port.
Please try driver version 16.1 (latest) or 15.11, users seem to have most success with those … assuming you have WIN10
I advise you to restrain from using such strong language to prevent your message from ending up in the spam filter.
Also it is simply impossible for the Adapter to “wipe the EDID for your computer”. The adapter cannot give executable’s to the PC, it is only able to pass on information in that direction.
Really sorry to hear you are having such issues, and our sincere apologies for any inconvenience the product might have caused you. Most certainly not our intention.
Hi Flav
Sorry for the delay, but were back online 🙂
I will try it out here. You also have Graphics Control Panel installed ?
Hi Flav, welcome
mmm not so sure on that.
Theoretically you are right, but let me check on that first.
1 on the 144Hz for the MST Hub and
2 if you can use actually use the output of the slave card when running in SLI … i mean Nvidia cards my nature are not the most “multi monitor friendly” cards …
get back to you soon
Hi Higsy,
A single DP1.2 output has 21.6 Gbps of bandwidth.
A screen running at 1920×1080 @ 144Hz even in 8bpp color depth takes 8.96 Gbps.
Connecting 3 screens in that configuration will not fit thru 1 DP1.2 because 3 x 8.96 = 26.88 Gbps. Here’s a link to a BadnWidth calculator: http://www.kramerelectronics.com/support/bwcalculator.asp
There you can see what fits and what not …
