Slightly interesting problem: CAC-1170 is working well at 4K60Hz for me, but it prevents my Mac Pro from booting up. I get a black screen and no startup chime. I can get it to boot by unplugging the HDMI but leaving the adapter plugged in. It doesn’t matter if the TV is on or off. Here’s my details:

Mac Pro 5,1 OS X 10.11.3
Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 Mac Edition
CAC-1170 on mDP w/ AmazonBasics 18Gbps HDMI cable
Seiki SE42UGT

Again, the video works great, just doesn’t like booting up anymore. I’ll send this message to support as well so I can try the new firmware. Thanks!
