Based on my understanding, Apple’s M-series Mac computers, like their Intel predecessors, do not provide native support for Multi-Stream Transport (MST) technology, though I should note that I haven’t personally verified this limitation.
While both Intel-based and M-series Macs are compatible with DisplayLink technology, it’s important to clarify that this is entirely separate from MST functionality. To my knowledge, DisplayLink adapters and devices do not incorporate MST capabilities.
Regarding legacy Apple systems, it’s worth mentioning that older Macintosh computers utilizing PowerPC and 68K processors predate DisplayPort technology entirely. Consequently, these vintage machines lack any form of MST support, as they were manufactured before the development of DisplayPort standards. papas games
