I purchased my RoyalAce r9 290 card back in January because it was on sale at Canada Computers but it didn’t fit in my old rig because it was too long so it’s been sitting for a few months without use. I recently bought a newer computer and installed the r9 290 and all the drivers perfectly fine and everything was perfect but after about a day artifacts started appearing on my screen. I’m using a TV through hdmi and a monitor through dvi. The artifacts appear on the tv when both are connected and when I disconnect the tv the monitor will eventually black screen. Are there any possible solutions or will I have to return the card and get a new one?

Hi Sheldon,
Sorry to hear about your situation.
Can you detail me your system configuration? Hardware model and make, OS etc.
Are you overclocking your system? Are you increasing voltages?
If the artifacts are appearing in your TV and then you disconnect your HDMI cable and your DVI screen goes blank, do you have your primary display in your HDTV?
Please make sure that your OS is up to date and download the latest AMD display drivers.
Regards

I was thinking I should just get rid of the tv and just get a monitor and run it on the second DVI port.
