How I do that?

I was having 4k@60 most of the times ( for some reason Doom didn’t work) and suddenly it was back to 30… not only that but even resolution as low as 720p wasn’t able to achieve 60fps.
Since I have the same setup as the first poster ( samsumg 7 series and R9 390) I was wondering what could’ve been the cause of this

Note: my first issue was the black flickering that apparently seems solved after I reinstalled the old driver. Everything was fast, but inconsistent ,even while surfing the web.

Btw, regarding the TV, what configurations should I have?  I read about UHD Color on, but off seems more stable for me.

there are many issues with AMD Drivers after 16.8.3 in combination with R7/9 200 and 300 series. All driver after 16.8.3 have may adjustement for RX400 series but non that i know of for R7 / 9 200 and 300 series. In fact there is a good change your R9 390X will actually run better on 16.8.3 than on newer drivers.

Can Confirm: Running 4k60 on Latest 16.12.1 AMD Driver using R9 Fury
Oddly enough I haven’t defined a custom resolution.
Using a samsung ue40ku6000
Standard Picture mode, UHD HDMI colour set to ON

unfortunately I tried with my r9 390 and no luck,,
so went back to 16.8.3

So, did you guys fixed this?
I still can’t believe there is a single firmware from this card that is compatible. And it supposed to be the best match for this product!

Last time I have any business with 3D club.

Good day Mart,
With regards to the AMD Drivers, as Mikem87 already stated, with drivers 16.12.1 and later it all works fine again, nothing to to with Firmware of the Adapter. AMD also integrated the option to make a custom resolution again for those who need that to make it work.
What you mean by “can’t believe there is a single firmware from this card that is compatible” ?
