CAC-1088 support for 2560×2880 resolution

Does the Club 3D CAC-1088 DP to HDMI adapter support 2560×2880 resolution?

I am trying to use this adapter to an LG DualUp display. The native resolution on this display is 2560×2880. I do not see this resolution when I use the adapter but am able to see it when I use a DP or HDMI cable directly to the monitor.

The product page says it supports up to 7680×4320. Therefore, 2560×2880 should also work.

Use CRU to extract the EDID for DP, HDMI, and CAC-1088 connections. Compare all three.

Extract the 2560×2880 timing info from one of the first two EDIDs, and add it to the third case if it is missing.

CRU is for Windows. Use SwitchResX for Mac.

That worked. Thank you!

The CAC-1088 was not listing the 2560×2880 timing/EDID. I copied the EDID settings from the HDMI connection for the “Detailed resolutions” and the Extension blocks (CTA-861). The new resolution was available to select once I restarted.

I believe the change made with the override EDID that you created using CRU can be used right away by disconnecting and reconnecting the display. This might be preferable to using the Reset option provided by CRU (it’s another executable in the CRU app folder?) which can enable the EDID override without disconnecting the display.
