Hi Axel89,

The chipset inside is Parade PS176 which does support HDMI2.0a (HDR).

However since we did not done testing this, we do not officially communicate this, it is very well possible that we will need a firmware update for this to work In a proper manner.

So yes the hardware is compatible, but most probably need a software/firmware update for that to work. I estimate testing to be done by end this year.

Hi MST1407,
Thanks for the reply (here and by email). I bought the adapter and works very well with my Fury X (driver 16.11.3) and LG 43UH750V (there was no need to create custum resolutions or do other things). I await future informations on HDR support.

I have Shadow warrior 2 and I can enable HDR in the game setting.
HDR does work with cac-1070 but, my TV doesn’t recognize it as an HDR signal. Hopefully we will see the update very soon.

You have new info for Parade PS176 support HDR in HBR2 mode for DP1.2? For usb-c->dp1.2->hdmi 2.0a with HDR?

on 06-07-2018

I do not knwo any different than you would need DP1.4 support for conversion from Dp to HDMI 2.0 with HDR support.
CAC-1080 and CAC-1180 are such adapters with HDR support
CAC-2504 also has the sme chips inside and is a USB C to HDMI 2.0b adapter, however we dont sell it as such since we do not know of any Source System with USB C output that can support HDR.
