Hi,
Please make sure that your system is up to date. Download the latest Catalyst Omega drivers and if you can, clean your graphics drivers by deinstalling the catalyst and use the DDU software, you can find this in the forum.

Hi,

Already tried the first thing. But i dont know how to do the second thing you said.

Hi Tomal,
Use this software to clean your system of Nvidia or AMD drivers. Also make sure that your anti-virus software is not active when installing the catalyst driver. Sometimes it gives problems when is active.

Hi,
I do not have problems downloading the software. Do you have an antivirus software that is blocking the download?

No i haven’t got a antivrus who’s blocking it.

on 14-02-2015

Wait it worked but i did not do anything yet because i want to know what i have to do next if i remove my driver.

on 16-02-2015

Boot into safe mode, deinstall the Catalyst driver, reboot again and go into safe mode, use DDU to remove all traces of the driver, reboot again and boot normal. Install Catalyst again.

on 16-02-2015

What do you mean with “reboot again and boot normal.”

on 16-02-2015

Normal boot means you boot into the Windows OS normally.

Can you detail what mainboard, power supply you have? Did you do all the updates in your Windows installation?
Your mainboard BIOS is up to date?

Hi,
I have the same problem with my HD 7870 King poker edition, i tried everything on the above, i uninstalled the catalyst control center including de amd drivers, i went to save mode used the DDU program, back to normal mode and installed CCC again including the drivers, then back again because the problem still exist, but now i used driver booster in stead of CCC, i minimized my memory use, i stopped my antivirus, used the microsoft fixit, updated windows, i even tried to use high and low settings in- game but i keep having the freeze screen and the report. also like above it happens regularly during one hour of gaming, i have an intel i5 of almost 2 years old 8g of ddr3 ram and windows 7, please help me im starting to get desperate and thinking about buying Nvidia.

Hi Marco,
Sorry to hear about that. You probably have two memory or more in your system. If you have two, can you remove one and test your system if you have the same results? If you do, please remove the first one and place the second and do the same.
It could be a memory issue you have. Also do you overlock your system? Check if you can set your BIOS to default values and see if makes any changes.

Hey Paul,

Thank you for your reaction,
I changed the ram next to the processor i have four memory slots and i now have 1 empty, 1 used, then 1 empty and the last bank filled but i keep having the same problem i dont overclock my system, the only positive thing is that my pc starts up faster now.  I can’t imagine how removing one ram would have a positive outcome you have any other ideas maybe?

Hi Marco,
Can you test each memory module? Just place one at a time to see if the problem comes from one of the memory modules.
I do not know your system but most main boards have dual channel memory, so you need to place them in pairs, you can check in the main board manual.
For the issue you have is best that you test each memory module to find out if one of them or more is giving problems.

Hey Paul,

Ok i got one ram of 4gb out and I tried every ram bank with one ram of 4gb and with every bank i had the same problems, i can try and do the same with the other ram of 4gb, but i wonder if that will help, i don’t have an extra system here to test the card sorry, you think the card is broken maybe, because i only have this with games, any video im playing or picture im watching in windows 7 is ok. Any other options maybe? Can it be a windows 7 issue?

on 02-04-2015

Hi Marco,
I think the card could be overheating. Check if you can returned for replacement or repair.
Thank you in advance.
