I have a R9 290X Royal King. After a few minutes of gaming, or any graphical intensive work, I lose signal to both my monitors. Is there any fix? The computer is still working but I’m unable to see anything. I would have to shut down my pc and restart it to get signal again.

Hi,
I think you probably have a driver issue. Can you remove and reinstall the latest Catalyst driver?
Check if your power supply meets the system requirements of the card.

I have a xfx 850watt black edition PSU. I tried 14.12 and the 14.9 drivers. Issue persists.

Hi,

Have you updated your mainboard BIOS? Do you overclock your system?
Please detail.

My motherboard is as rock z87 killer. It is up to date at version 1.50. I overclocked my CPU to 4.5ghz and it is very stable at 1.3volts. I5-4690k. I only lose signal when my GPU is under great loads such as during a benchmark (heaven).

I have only over clocked my CPU to 4.5ghz. Nothing more and it is stable and stress tested.i5-4690k. My bios version of my motherboard is up to date and games were working fine about a month ago. I only lose signal when the card is at full load at about 80 degrees or so. After a few minutes.

Hi,
Can you save your settings in the bios and test it at default settings to see if you have the same problem?

At stock bios settings the problem still does persists. After 10-20 minutes or so I lose signal to both displays. When gaming.

I’ve only had this card for a year and it’s failing on me… 🙁

I’ve tested my system with a sapphire r9 270x and it works fine. It must be the r9 290x at fault, I submitted my RMA information.

I am trying that now, I got back from school. I’ll see if that does the fix.

I still do not have a fix to my video card crashing issue. I would very much appreciate a solution. I tried a new bios but it only made the problem worse and I reverted back to the original.
