r9 290x cross fire

hi there i would like your advice i am looking to get 2  r9 290x cards to run in crossfire my question is how to connect a single 4k monitor as in the connecters to use between cards and monitor i am new to this and would really appreciate any help

Hi,
You need to have a CrossFire ready mainboard and a decent power supply to run your system. For a single 4K display you need to have the display connected to one of the the DisplayPort™ port and a good DisplayPort™ cable.
You do not require a bridge cable between both cards.

Insert Image Size must be less than < 5MB.

do i just need connection from one card and will it be the card in first slot or does it not matter

You can do it from the first card closer to the CPU. When you install the catalyst driver you need to set it into CrossFire mode.
