So with Sony's PS5 outputting 120Hz via HDMI 2.1, this cable has now become very necessary for displays like the Asus VG258QR (and most other monitors), which only gets to it's very high 165Hz via it's DisplayPort.
So as I understand it, the CAC-1085 works in the wrong direction? Is there anything in the pipeline or any other options?
1920x1080@165Hz is doable with HDMI2.0 to DP1.2 adapters, provided their firmware will let it through. Its only roughly 400(CVTrb)/525(CVT)Mpixel/sec rate.
