We are sorry that is not working out. Please when you RMA the product, detail us the problem so we can test it when arrives here. We want to see what is causing the problem.
Can you turn off fast boot and see if you still have the problem?
Can you check one last thing? Do you have the BIOS in UEFI mode fast boot?
Can you detail what mainboard, power supply you have? Did you do all the updates in your Windows installation?
Your mainboard BIOS is up to date?
Hi,
Are you overclocking your system? If yes, can you save your BIOS setup and then go to default to see if there is any changes?
Check if you can fully deinstall the catalyst driver and download the latest Beta 14.11.2 and see if you experience any changes.
Hi RIchard,
You cannot power the CSV-5400 with the CSV-2302, this is not possible. The MST Hub needs to be connected directly to the Surface DP port.
Hi Laurent,
I am glad that it resolved the problem.
Enjoy!
Hi Richard,
A discreet graphics solution to plug into a Docking Station it really depends what connectivity has on the source, in this case your tablet, notebook or desktop and also the docking station you have. This review might help you in your inquiry
Normal boot means you boot into the Windows OS normally.
Hi Richard,
For a discreet card it really depends what you want to do with multiple screens.
If you want to go on the budget side I recommend a Radeon R7 260X, it offers decent performance and you can add up to 6 displays by adding a MST Hub 1-3. If you are thinking of doing some serious stuff with multiple screens I suggest to get a R9 290X series card.
Let me know what you want to do and I recommend you a card.

Hi Laurent,
The best way is to remove first the driver by going to your control panel, programs/uninstall a program. Go to your AMD Catalyst Install Manager and remove it. You can download the latest driver at http://www.amd.com
The HD 7770 has DP 1.2 spec so technically is capable of driving up to 4x 1080p displays from the DP port. Please note that some products can differ a bit from the standard discreet graphics card and the vendor can change this for specific reasons.

Hi,
Thanks for the clarification. It is odd that is sees both screens as one. That means that is running in SST mode instead of MST. The latest driver is the Omega 14.12, do you have this one installed? If you do and you are having this issue please roll back to 14.9 to see if there is any difference.
Don’t forget that the MST Hub has a scan/reset button on the back. Press it in case you are having issues.
Hi Richard,
The latest revision is the 0.45, can you send it back to us so we can update the firmware or have it replaced?
Please copy or make a screenshot of this thread and send it to [email protected]
Hopefully it will resolve your problem.
Note that the surface can only support 3 external screens when the surface screen is off. You can always use the CSV-5400 on a discreet graphics card to support up to 4x 1080p screens.
