Hey guys, I’m just checking in to see whether this will be able to run on an ubuntu work setup? I’ve got an ultrabook and this seems to be a perfect option.

That setup of yours looks quite comfortable!
I’m aiming to hopefully get 2, possibly 3 screens running off my ultrabook. I don’t mind shutting down the ultrabook screen either.
My ultrabook specs are:
Model: X520793AU – Dell XPS 13
CPU: i7-4510U
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4400
I’ve got 2 USB3.0 ports and a micro display port to play with.
Oh! And my current OS is Ubuntu 14.0.1 LTS
Hi,
With Intel HD 4000 series we had experienced quite a few problems running Windows and Linux. This is due mostly with the drivers.
For example, on Windows you can run 3x 1080p displays but it will run on SST instead of MST. On the HD 5000 series we do not encounter the problem.
Another way to resolve your problem is to use USB Graphics, we have several models for USB 3.0. You can find this here
Kind regards
