Chipset is available on market ,ANX7688

We need the converter for ps4 pro, many people got a 4k monitor with dp input but not hdmi2.0.

Please make it come true

I’m also looking for a PS4 Pro solution, a HDMI 2.0 -> DisplayPort adapter.  If such a thing is possible, I have a feeling your demand for it will be increasing soon.

My monitor supports 4k @ 30hz on HDMI but 4k @ 60hz on DisplayPort, but the PS4 Pro only outputs in HDMI.

Hi bbson021987,

That ANX7688 Chip is made for mobil devices and only supports 2 lanes over DP … so cannot be used for DP to HDMI2.0 purpose unfortunately …

The ANX7688 features page says it uses DP 1.3 (HBR2.5) to achieve 3840x2160p60 with 2 lanes. So how difficult is it to convert a two lane DP 1.3 signal to a 4 lane DP 1.2 signal?

HBR2.5 is not described in the wikipedia document: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DisplayPort
HBR2.5 appears to be exactly half way between HBR2 and HBR3 to achieve the 6.75Gbps per lane that the ANX7688 features page specifies. If my math is correct, then that only allows 450MHz 8bpc (RGB or 4:4:4) using CVT-RB timing but 4K 60Hz 8bpc (RGB or 4:4:4) requires 533MHz.

I am not in the R&D Team, so i cannot tell you “how difficult it is to convert a 2 lane Dp 1.3 into a 4 lane DP 1.2”. But my logic would be, that if that was really all that easy they would be available already …
