hi 

 i bought USB Type C to DVI-D DUAL LINK Active Adapter but it doesnt reconize my monitor.

My laptop is a MSI gf75 thin 95c and the monitor is a NEC lcd 3090wqxi.

Hello,

It is true that it does not work because your laptop does not have USB-C Displayport Alt-mode technology needed to send video over a USB-C port.

there are 4 profiles of USB-C

  1. DATA
  2. POWER
  3. VIDEO
  4. AUDIO

your USB-C port only contains Data and Power profile.

Conclusion,

Video over your USB-C port will never work since its not supported

Hi,

Yes you can use a direct cable from you HDMI port.

CAC-1210 is ideal for these situations.

but only get 1280 x 720 resolution on my extended monitor… can you help me please? thank you

Hello,

how do you address the monitor output since your laptop comes with a dedicated videocard?

do you use the NVidia software or the Intel/Microsoft software to arrange the output to the monitor.

i only have one  hdmi output in my labtop and i use windows software to arrange the output to the monitor. i dont know how to do it in another way

Hi

the Nvidia card you have in your system should come with its own software. please contact Nvidia for more information about their cards
