Hi guys could you flip the customer service switch to “ON” please and come back to me on this
Thanks
Guys my suggestion to try & resolve this is that you send me 2 more CAC-1153 please. I have already purchased two. I have been unable to find where it says in your product details that 4 CAC-1153 are required to make this card work with the extended Windows desktop using 6 monitors.
I have had earlier replies to this topic suggesting that 1 CAC-1153 would be sufficient, then I was advised to get 2.
Having done so I am still in the position of not having 6 screens working. Please help.
Thanks
hi Paul
thanks for the reply. It seems I will need to get 2 more CAC-1153 then?
But are you sure?
Why is the requirement for “4 active adapters and 2 passive adapters are required to drive 6 displays simultaneously” not mentioned in your product literature for the HD-7850
Or if it is, can you show me where? I can’t find it here:

I am very annoyed about this, I have a customer who is very unhappy also
Attempted to extend Windows desktop to the 6th screen .. (Screen #3 as numbered by Windows)
However when instructed to extend desktop to this display, Windows displays the message “unable to save display settings”

driver installed after uninstalling all others:

hi Paul
followed your instructions, thanks. Still only 5 of 6 screens working
we used the display driver uninstaller software as suggested, in Safe Mode
We then used the driver suggested by the hardware identifier on the catalyst download site, screen shots in next post
hello, does anyone have comments or advice please?
various pics showing the 2 CAC-1153 attached to the HD-7850 and the screens setup

update… we have tried & failed to get a 6th screen working. So far we have used 2x CAC-1153
We have moved screens / cables as suggested
On some occasions the 6 screens will all display, but the configuration is changed and less screens activated after a reboot
Things we have tried:
– disabled all screens, bar primary, and then re enabled. All worked ok until reboot. After reboot, config lost.
– different resolutions.
– relocating CAC-1153 adapters to different output ports on the HD 7850
– different AMD drivers – versions 14.12, 14.30 and 14.50
– in native Windows graphics settings and CCC settings. Different error messages but same result … cannot enable 6th screen.
In relation to BIOS & PC this is a brand new Asus H81M-Plus Board
Does anyone have any suggestions other than buying 2 more CAC-1153?
just to restate – I need to extend to 6 displays (ie different content on 6 screens, all acting as one big desktop in a 2×3 layout).
I don’t need EyeFinity or duplication of displays
Thanks
Thank you I have 2 CAC-1153 on order and I will update the thread when I get a chance to try them out. Apologies for the duplicate thread which wasn’t intentional

I have read this post
https://insights.club-3d.com/thread/native/
But its confusing me why I would need “2 passive CAC-1101 and 4 active CAC-1153”
I already have 5 out of 6 monitors working with passive cables, and I don’t want EyeFinity, all my 6 displays/desktops are going to be extensions (ie 5 additional, with different content) to the main Windows desktop
So would one active adapter be enough to get the 6th monitor working?
please advise, thank you
apologies for the duplicate thread, not sure how that happened.
