Just got confirmation on CSV-5300A, it does not support freesync
Good day FunkyMst,
Please provide system specs of the source system the MST Hub is connected to so we can try to search more specific …
Did you check already software update for the screens ?
very welcome
Good day Fritsjof,
You could not find it on the website because it is not there, we stopped selling this product early 2012 and stopped support for it a few years ago.
Anyway, [email protected] will send you an email with link to the standard CMedia driver corresponding with your soundcard. Should work well.
Good day FunkyMst,
Very sorry for the delay.
We tested CSV-5200 and CSV-6200 and thy do not work with Free-Sync Feature, so that feature is definitely not supported. In fact i seriously doubt that CSV-5300A will support Free-Sync, so we will check that as well and adjust if needed.
I will ask [email protected] to send you the latest firmware for teh CSV-5200 in case this is not already loaded on the Hub. Perhaps that helps.
Please aslo check for latest software/firmware for the screens.
and here you cna see some reviews on Amazon US

It can of course happen that an Adapter is not good, but defective rate is below 0.1 % on this item and the few that indeed were defective did nto work at all also not in 4K 30 Hz … so i really don’t think that is the issue.
With regards to the CAC-1310 review, that is most probably done by employees of competition … The CAC-1310 is a very good quality cable with very low emission, certified by HDMI.org, so it is an official Premium HDMi Cable which we sold thousands all over the world. Very good cable.
With regards to the TV setting. I am not pretending to know better than Sony, I do know that with for instance LG TV’s setting them to PC Mode fixes that issue of jumping to 59 Hz on both our AMD and NVidia test system. We do nto have a Sony X900E here, so you know more about that one then I do …
Looking forward to hear what difference the HDMI Cable will make.
very welcome
Hi Jeb, Cool thanks for the feedback.
Good day Strohmwell,
That auto-switching back to 59Hz is normally caused by the TV.
They often have a setting like “PC Mode” you can select in the menue of the TV, which would prevent that switching back from 60 to 59 Hz.
The flickering is indeed normally a bandwidth / connection issue. So the quality of the HDMI Cable is indeed very important.
We would advise to use a Premium HDMI Cable like our CAC-1310.
What Cable length are you using now ?
What firmware version is on the CAC-1070 ?
Version 0.55 / V7.55 is the latest, i will ask [email protected] to email that over to you just in case you might need it.
Sometimes it also helps to make a clean Graphics Driver installation.
Using the upgrade feature to update drivers can cause issues, because old files can remain in the registry of windows and can be “in the way”.
Please make a new clean driver installation to make sure that part is ok.
Please uninstall the current Graphics driver and all related Graphics software like Afterburner/GPU-Z or whatever graphics related software you might have installed.
Best way to remove Driver Software is to boot Windows in Safe mode, so the registry can also be cleaned.
If your system does not allow you to do that, you can also use a program like DDU to remove such software: http://www.wagnardmobile.com/DDU/
Also, please manually delete the AMD Folder from your C drive.
When done, reboot and manually download and install latest graphics driver (don’t let any auto installer do that).
Yes it is, just the HDR won’t the rest will work just fine
Good day Strohmwell,
Very good 🙂
that is it indeed … the shape and packaging. Chip inside is the same, specs are the same.
ok thanks for the feedback
ok sorry about that.
I saw that info on the product page specs on the Dell website

they must have updated it since then, did you check for latest software for the screen?
Hello Tyduss, no that won’t go.
The CAC-2330 supports HDMI 1.4 and that has a bandwidth limitation of 10.2 Gbps
A resolution of 2560×1440 at 120 Hz would need 13.27 Gbps. So “no go”.
