I am not sure waht the technical issue exactly, but i know that HDR doe snto work when using the CAC-170 / CAC-1170 / CAC-1504 adapter. I also know our R&D has an “open case” with regards to HDR Support and unfortunately has not been able to solve this for instance with a frimware update.

I do knwo that CrossFire and/or SLI can be “in the way” of CAC-1070 / CAC-1170 functioning in a proper manner. Is there any way to disable Crosffire with the Dual R9 390X Card you have ?

In general:

• Setup

Setups with TV’s normally work best by making a custom resolution, in this case for: 3840*2160 at 60 Hz with Timing Standard set to CVT-RB (Reduced Blanking).

(For setups with Monitors Timing Standard can remain on “auto”.)

On most TV’s you will need to do some settings like “Enhanced Mode”/ “PC-Mode” and/or “UHD Color” for the HDMI 2.0 port in use. 

Please make sure the HDMI port of the Screen/TV supports 4K 60 Hz, often not all HDMI inputs support that.

Please make sure the Software of the TV is updated

Please make sure the HDMI Cable is capable of 4K 60Hz / 18Gbps.

Sorry for the delay. Did not get conclusive feedback yet, but R&D is looking at MAC OS and it not supporting Multi Stream Transport (MST) feature.

To my knowledge there is no HDMI2.0 to DP1.2adapter available in the market currently.

Our R&D has had a project open to devellop this product for about 1 year now, but we have not seen a product from this even on the reaodmap for the mext 6 months (yet).

So the best we can do to convert HDMi to Displayport at this point is:

CAC-1330 = HDMI1.4 to DP1.1

Club3D Warranty is normally 2 years, unless you buy it under different terms from a shop or etailer. The chance that the Card is out of warranty fo us is quite large, but by all means do check that on the invoice form the place you purchased it from. Not sure what the extended warranty through your credit card will cover, you would have to check that with them.

We finished testing here ourselves.

We did also get an error on the second Port “failed to connect” and also during update procedure it gave an error at the end that it has not been able to update the second port.

What is even stranger is that it does work well. We got picture on all 3 screens in 1080p 60Hz without even have to do any display settings.

I will send issue to R&D to check on what going on with that updater program, so that can be fixed.

Meanwhile if you connect 2 screens you are not using the second port (is the 3rd HDMI output) so i don’t think that this is where the problem comes from.

Please try this.

Connect MST Hub to Graphics Card with Mini-Dp to DP Adapter that came with the MST Hub.

Connect first TV and turn on. Boot system and set the screen to 1080p 60Hz in windows display settings.

Only after this is working connect second TV and turn it on. Press the reset button on the back of the HUB, it will now build up new video connection.

After the TV’s have recognized the incoming signal from HDMI, Windows should now see also the second TV, set it to 1080p 60 Hz in

Generally speaking it is not often interesting to repair an out of warranty Graphics Cards like R9 270. Unfortunately we cannot do that here, so the card would need to be send to the Factory in China where they can determine if it can be repaired. Shipping cost alone I estimate to be about 60 USD back and forth without any garanty that your card can actually be repaired.
I mean if the card is completely dead it is most probably either the Power Circuit of the GPU itself, both very difficult to repair if at all possible … 
If it could be repaired we are looking at cost of between 75 USD and 125 USD so plus shipping that would make somewhere between 135 and 185 USD of cost.
This is just an estimate base on the info i have now to give you an idea on “how and what”.

I will have that firmware and updater program checked out here to see if we can duplicate and find out what wrong.
How many screens did you connect while updating and to which ouput ?
If only 1 screens please conenct to the middle output on the Hub.
