Hi TheKMan613, these seem to be artifacts from the GPU. Do you have a way of cross testing with a different card in your system or with your card in a different system? Thanks!
Hi Bavo, can you confirm the Dell model number and monitor brand and type? Thanks!
Hi Gerardo, we have a firmware update available for this adapter, this may solve the issue. However I cannot find the brand and model of your PC! Where is it in the post?
Bonjour lorenzojeu, please email us at [email protected] for questions in regards to BIOS files etc. Merci!
Hi Smargi, which version of NUC do you use?
Hi Shroomalistic, are you able to flash on a system featuring AMD or Nvidia graphics it will be very difficult to flash the firmware for the adapter.
Current gen NUC’s should support the CAC-1170 though. Do you know if BIOS and Intel HD graphics drivers are the latest available?
Hi Lee,
when checking the specs of that Monster cable we have to conclude that it’s not fit for 4K 60Hz.
Please note that for 4K 60Hz YCbCr 4:4:4, the cable must support a bandwidth of 18Gbps. Please note that ONLY Premium certified HDMI cables are tested for this.
The Monster cable seems to offer 10.2 Gbps which is sufficient only for 1080p. It’s highly recommended to get a Premium Certified cable, capable of carrying 18Gbps, like the Club 3D CAC-1310 cable:

Hi Flight505, thank you for joining our forum.
Our CAC-1522 cable has the highes USB Type-C spec, which means it can charge up to 5A / 100watt and allows for superspeed+ data. The E marker chip identifies the devices connected to both sides and ensures the best functionality.
However we have not have the chance to test with said Lenovo X1 panel (or any other USB Type-C enabled monitor) yet. So unfortunately we can’t tell for sure if our CAC-1522 will work in your setup.

Hi Rick, thank you for joining our forum.
Did you upgrade to Win 10 or performed a clean install? If you upgraded, please do a clean install (many of the issues reported are from users who upgraded to Win10 from 7 or 8.1).
If that doesn’t solve the issue it’s best to create a custom resolution by following these steps:
Make a custom resolution in the Crimson driver.
Open the Crimson driver, click on “screen”, then on “additional settings” on the top.
A new windows opens called “Radeon additional settings”.
On the left at “My Digital Flat Panels” you can chose the option “custom resolutions”, click on “new”
and you can do a resolution setting manually …
Horizontal: 3840
Vertical: 2160
Refresh rate 60 Hz
Interlaced/Progressive: Progressive
Timing Standard: CVT-Reduced Blanking
Verify
Hi mysticknight, good question! The adapters have passed testing in temps ranging from 0 till 40 degrees celcius. They may function at lower or higher temps but have not been tested in those conditions.
Hi InformaticaCT, you are correct. When using the HD 7850 to connect 6 monitors which do not support DisplayPort natively (so HDMI, DVI etc), the best solution is to connect two monitors with Passive Mini DP to HDMI adapters and the remaining four with Active Mini DP to HDMI adapters, like our CAC-1153:

Technically you are right. However a significant percentage of HDMI cables sold as ‘High Speed HDMI With Ethernet’ cable, capable of doing 4K 60 etc, are in fact not delivering what they’re promising. So if it’s a Monster cable, it will surely do what it says. For many ‘white label’ cables from China that doesn’t apply. So a lot of issues reported to us, artifacts on screen for example, are caused by cables not suited for 4K 60Hz.
For that reason the HDMI organization has introduced a new ‘Premium’ certification program for cables, ensuring that they can do 4K @ 60Hz, BT.2020 and HDR. See: http://www.hdmi.org/manufacturer/premiumcable/Premium_HDMI_Cable_Certification_Program.aspx
So our ‘HDMI 2.0 cable’ is a Premium certified cable, guaranteed to deliver the latest features as mentioned above.

Hi Darksaviour, is it completely red and showing any message? And does it work properly / artifact free as soon as you log on?
Hi Tchalikias, that’s unfortunate to hear! Do you have any way of trying to update the firmware on a system with an AMD GPU inside?
