CSV-5300 with MacBookPro11,5, will this work?

Hello,

I want to connect 3 displayport displays (DELL U2515H) through a CSV-5300 on my MacBookPro11,5.
Can anybody tell me If this is going to work since I read a lot about mirrored displays and bad MST support on OSX. Currently I am running Sierra (10.12.4) but willing to downgrade.

The specs of my machine:
– Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015
– 2,5 GHz Intel Core i7
– 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
– AMD Radeon R9 M370X 2048 MB

  Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB

Any insight wil do!
Thanks in advance!

Marco

Good day drerror,

Did not test this but i don’t think you can ouput 3 video signal from a Macbook Pro 11.5.
Specs sys this:
Dual display and video mirroring: Simultaneously supports full native resolution on the built-in display and up to 3840 by 2160 pixels on up to two external displays, both at millions of colors.
If i am not mistaking you have 2 Thundebolt 2 connectors an i tihkn they both support 1 video signal.
Further more MAC OS does not support MultiStreamTransport, so an MST Hub i would not advise in this case.
What should work well is to connect 2 screens directly to the Macbook and add the third screen via a CSV-2301, that supports 2560×1440 at 60Hz over USB3.0 port.

Is it possible to connect 3 CSV-2301 adaptors at once? I don’t want to use all my thunderbolt ports at once.

You will need a free usb3.0 port for each, so if you have that, yes that will work. If I am not mistaking Mac OS X supports up to 4 screens in total, so 3 should not be a problem
