Hi Bzeeb,

You’ll need the CAC-1010 – HDCP ON.

DisplayPort version on the adapter is 1.2a. GPU with DisplayPort 1.2a or higher will support the adapter.

Hello Baak,

I ordered the CAC-1010 for my BenQ XL2411Z and it worked fine until I reinstalled Windows 10. Now I can only activate 120Hz otherwise I get the “signal out of range” message on my BenQ. Is there some sort of device driver needed for the adapter? Please help.

Did you reinstall your GPU drivers? What GPU do you use? Maybe roll back one driver?

Windows 10 is completely up to date?

If it worked fine before I don’t think the adapter is at fault here.

So I had hdcp on, tons of flickering issues, emailed [email protected] sent me the firmware to change it from HDCP ON to OFF, no issues since!

BenQ XL2411Z I would do HDCP OFF!!!!

Even though the adapter is DisplayPort 1.2, it only supports max HBR link rate so it might work with a DisplayPort 1.1 GPU?

Since the adapter uses HBR link rate, it means it cannot do 2560×1600 60Hz from a USB-C dock (because USB-C docks only have two lanes of DisplayPort input) unless the USB-C dock includes an MST Hub (MST can convert two lanes of HBR2 or HBR3 to 4 lanes of HBR).

USB-C docks that don’t support USB 3.x (in other words, they support USB 2.0 only) can have four lanes of DisplayPort input. Such docks don’t need an MST Hub to support max resolution of 2560×1600 60Hz (or 4K 30Hz) from an HBR only adapter like the CAC-1010.
