Did anyone try the cable before? Does it work on PS4 Pro?

on 26-02-2017

Unfortunately thats only 4K 30hz.

on 26-02-2017

Will it work on PS4 Pro even just 30 Hz

on 26-02-2017

No, the PS4 Pro requires HDMI 2.0 to output 4K at all.

It’s 4k @ 30hz …
So nope. We all want 4k @ at least 60hz

on 26-02-2017

If I use this cable, will it display in 4K 30Hz?

on 26-02-2017

You might be able to on the ps4. On an Xbox one s you you can get 4k video but not gaming (I think)

on 26-02-2017

I kindly suggest you Google next time. I found this http://community.us.playstation.com/t5/Consoles-Peripherals/Why-doesn-t-the-PS4-Pro-support-4k-displays-with-HDMI-1-4/td-p/46039273/page/2

Are there any News about the Cable?

on 09-03-2017

I emailed them the other day they said they still working on a chip there is no expected time frame

on 09-03-2017

Thanks for your interest.
We do not have a timeframe yet here, we still working with chipset to design this chip so we can produce this adapter you mentioned.
When we have news we will send a press release out.
Thanks

Trying to solve the same issue with new coming Wacom Cintiq Pro 16. My laptop can only output 4k60hz from hdmi 2.0 and there’s no solution of how to connect it to MiniDP of Wacom Link. HDMI 2.0 to DP is much needed thing for 2017 🙂 Thanks

i will keep you all posted in teis threat if we have any news on this

using a laptop, with hdmi 2.0 port and having an asus VG248QE, which is capable of 1080p@144hz ; 120 hz respectively.(afaik 120hz should be possible with the 14gbits of hdmi 2.0)
since the asus only has hdmi 1.4 i am stuck at 60hz
am i right then that such an adapter(hdmi 2.0 to dp), would enable me to use the 120hz? if so, really looking forward to that!
s

on 04-04-2017

Hi
We will have to wait and see the specs of the chipset that will be used before i can answer that one. Normally i would think that 120Hz should most probably not be an issue, however not many converter chips support 144Hz …
Will update as soon as i know more 🙂

on 21-04-2017

ok that would be awesome both.
Btw – Im not sure about the following, in the description of the available hdmi 1.4 to dp 1.1 Adapter it states that 1080p 120hz should work. I guess that this is any how the same as just using hdmi 2.0 to hdmi 1.4, which ich currently have. But apperently Im only getting 720p 77hz or1080p 65hz max.

Am i missing anything here?

Hi I am also on the same boat, I have an Xbox One S with HDMI 2 output and Benq BL3201 monitor with mini display port and display port inputs for 4K 60Hz. I tried an active “plugable” adapter but it didn’t work. I am unable to find such cable can someone please help?

on 25-05-2017

I’m facing the exact same issue. Did you ever find a solution?

on 12-06-2017

Unfortunately I couldn’t. I am thinking of selling my Benq BL3201 and buying a monitor that supports HDMI 2. I am not sure if the 2017 version of this monitor supports Xbox One S 4K 60Hz even though it says it has HDMI 2 input. No one seems to know, I asked on Amazon reviews but no clear answer yet. If anyone knows please post.

Any updates on the development of the chipset?

on 21-04-2017

Hi Walle90,

As it stands now it does not look like we will be able to implement HDR with a firmware update for CAC-1070 / CAC-1170 / CAC-1073 / CAC-1173.

We might have to chose to start up a different  product to get this done. I have not seen any new product from DP to HDMI on the roadmap which means this is for sure more than 3 months away …

Sorry I do not have a better message for you ;-(

on 21-04-2017

We don’t HDR since it’s not supported on our older 4k monitors, just the ability to play in 4k at 60fps using a HDMI 2.0 to DisplayPort 1.2 adapter.

on 21-04-2017

I agree with Razvan, I would forgo HDR just to get 4K @ 60fps via a HDMI 2.0 to DisplayPort 1.2 adapter

on 21-04-2017

Can’t really find the reason for implementing HDR as HDR displays usually has hdmi 2.0. The majority would probably use this product for monitors without HDR.

on 21-04-2017

Thanks for info though 🙂

on 21-04-2017

My 4k monitor has HDMI 2.0 but only runs 4k at 50hz on Xbox one S, hardly any monitors have hdr if any at the moment, I just need the dp 1.2 to hdmi 2.0 cable so my games upscale to 4k 60hz

on 21-04-2017

From Razvan T

  I agree 100%!

on 21-04-2017

Hi All,

Sorry about that, indeed this is not the threat for HDR topic :-S

Unfortunately i have no new info on HDMI2.0 to DP1.2 Adapter. The situation is unchanged and still no availability on chipset to make this product.
There have been some suggestions on ANX7688 chipset, however this tested by R&D and this chipset is not suited for this, so that project has been closed.
I do not have any info that a suitable chipset will be available anywhere soon …
After a chipset becoming available it will take at least 4 months before a product can be introduced into the market. So time-wise i do no expect any such product within the next 5 to 6 months 🙁

on 25-07-2017

Have you considered a two chip solution? For example EP9169S -> EP196E

on 25-07-2017

Hi dmi2dp4kat60hz,
I am personally not operational involved with the technical part of production/devellopment of products, However i am sure the PM and R&D team is looking at every angle of this. But thanks a lot for the feedback, i will most certainly send it thrue.

on 25-04-2017

yep indeed weird that SP4 does not have a DP1.2 output and/or that High End Monitors do not have a HDMI 2.0 input …
And indeed so far only HDMI to DP adapters (like CAC-1330) available for max reselution of 3840×2160 at 30Hz …

Any updates on the availability of an HDMI 2.0 output to DisplayPort 1.2 output adapter? I have 2 Samsung QM105D Displays connected to ZeeVee Zyper4K distribution system. ZeeVee only outputs HDMI 2.0 – Samsung display only has HDMI 1.4 or DP input….

Razer Blade Pro user here with HDMI 2.0 output, and an Asus ROG Swift 34″ PG348Q with HDMI in 3440 x 1440 50hz only support. Before you all ask, yes it does have thunderbolt out, but it’s segregated to the Intel graphics on CPU only.

on 05-07-2017

Actually the DP IS connected to the 1080 after all. Was difficult to divulge info from Razers site, so jumped the gun and bought a thunderbolt to DP. So no longer need this, but many people do, so please engineer one.

I think this future adaptor should throw in support for higher than 60hz refresh rates too

on 23-06-2017

I am hoping for HDMI2.1 …

on 23-06-2017

HDMI 2.1 would be amazing!  (Especially since it would allow for 4K60 at 4:4:4!)

Free hint for club-3d here. I think you may be able to do this adapter using a LCD monitor controller with eDP output, but I do not have any detailed knowledge about this. Either these controllers can switch to normal DP output, or you can use a low cost FPGA to convert any of the LCD panel output formats (eDP, V-by-one etc) back to DP1.2.

thanks for the feedback

For what it’s worth, adding my interest. Trying to connect my PS Pro to a DP1.2 for 4K at 60. With so many aging 4K displays handcuffed by antiquated HDMI inputs, I would have thought someone would have jumped on this by now. Sadness.

I am another person who would jump on this in a heartbeat. I am currently running a ps4 pro on an LG 31MU97 and I am VERY disappointed that with the cost of the monitor and the system combined that they are not compatible with each other. Any updates would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

on 31-07-2017

sorry to be redundant by the way, just trying to support the demand and need of this product.

http://www.lindy.de/Konverter-HDMI-auf-DisplayPort-bis-UHD-4K-30-Hz-USB-powered.htm?websale8=ld0101&pi=38147
Will this converter work with UHD 25p RGB/YUV 10 bit?
WAITING for converter HDMI 2.0 to DP 1.2 too!

Made an account just to throw my hat in the ring on this topic. I want to purchase the Xbox one X this fall and use it with my 4K ASUS monitor. Unfortunately there’s no point in buying the console without this 4k, 60z adapter!

on 03-08-2017

Same for me Asus 4k and ps4 pro and xbox one x

on 03-08-2017

Very similar problem for me, I have an Xbox One S and BenQ 4K monitor. The monitor only displays Xbox output in 1080p. The HDMI on the monitor is V1.4 so I was thinking of selling it and buying one with HDMI V2.0. Or this adapter.

on 03-08-2017

I may just risk buying the console with hopes that this product is made in the near future. My fiance bought me the monitor for xmas last year, so I really don’t want to part with it.

on 03-08-2017

Yeah i have the rog 4k asus monitor when i bought it was more than 900+ euro and nobody is buying it for a decent price so selling isnt a option

on 22-08-2017

I too have pre-ordered the Xbox One X and have a BenQ UHD Monitor that only does 4k @ 60Hz over displayport 1.4. This adapter is a must. Please make this happen Club 3D. Regards from the UK

on 23-08-2017

We will do our best 🙂

on 23-08-2017

I too now are in need of this HDMI 2.0 to DISPLAYPORT 1.2 converter. Its looking like there’s going to be more and more demand for it as more of these consoles and things have been purchased.  I bet most peole have already upgraded to 4k monitors etc not realizing their HDMI ports are 1.4. so investing in to another new monitor / TV  is out of the question

Same Problem here, my old 4K Monitor only supports HDMI 1.4 and Displayport 1.2
Actually i connected my XBox One S with HDMI. That works with 30Hz (ok for Netflix in 4K because the movies have only 24 FPS) but I will buy a XBox One X and then I need a HDMI 2 to Displayport 1.2 Adapter to play in 4K60Hz.
So please let me know when such an Adapter is available (I Hope before November 2017, becaus the XBox One X will be released in November 2017)

on 18-08-2017

will certainly do provide info as soon as we have it

Is Club 3d the only company who can do this ?
No offence Club 3D but whe are waiting more then 8 months or so ?
This is not rocket science I presume ?

on 23-08-2017

Club 3d does not make the chips. Some third party chip manufacturer will make the chip, and every adapter manufacturer will use it. I don’t know if Club 3d has the power to get a chip manufacturer to create a new solution for a problem.

There aren’t many adapter manufacturers that have a forum like this though so that’s why we’re talking about it here. plugable.com is one such other. Some companies may have a blog, but user’s can’t add new topics.
