Dear Club-3d,

You are selling the following HDMI 2.0 cables with a premium logo

Premium High Speed HDMI 2.0 4K60Hz UHD Cable 1m/3.28ft

Premium High Speed HDMI 2.0 4K60Hz UHD cable 3m/9.84 ft

Also a 5 meter cable where i dont the the premium logo

HDMI 2.0 4K60Hz UHD cable 5m/16.40ft

I have two questions.

  • If you look at the specs it should be capable of all hdmi 2.0b functions. I can’t find any information about the support of HDMI 2.0b. The hdmi 2.0 / hdmi 2.0a / hdmi 2.0b are also very unclear to me. I thought a HDMI with 18Gps is the best you can get in the 2.0 hdmi series. Or is there really a difference in cables with the same 18Gps speed but a different label a, b or only 2.0?
  • And last, why doesn’t the 5 meter/16.40ft cable have a premium logo?

I hope you can help me out here, because all the premium abc talk is confusing me 😛

HI

Thank you for your question,

The HIgh speed HDMI 2.0 cables with the logo on the packaging are certified by HDMI.org. This is the global organisation that sets the standart on HDMI. you can read more about the organisation itself at HDMI.org

The addidition on HDMI2.0a/b is the support of HDR protocols, these protocols are supported by the CAC-1310/CAC-1311.

the 5 meter cable i think you refering too is the CAC-2312, it does not has a logo because it uses a booster chip to get the signal across.

so how is it possible i get hdr with the https://www.club-3d.com/en/detail/2336/premium_high_speed_hdmi_2.0_4k60hz_uhd_cable_3m-9.84_ft/ ?

its not a hdmi 2.0b.

I understand how the labels work now but i dont understand why everybody is saying 2.0b is for HDR if 2.0 also does hdr.

Hi Dellmorte,

This cable is a HDMI2.0b but to avoid general confusion it is not mentioned. what is mentioned is that it supports HDR what is in essence the most important.

if you have any other questions please let me know 🙂

Hi,

Hello,

It is called an HDMI2.0 cable, because the HDMI2.0B has specifics that will work under ideal circumstances. we can assure that all HDMI2.0 standarts are met.

again thank you for the feedback
