XBR65X850C advanced resolutions

I have a radeon R7 260 using the CAC-1070 to connect to my XBR65X850C. the TV should handle 4k 60Hz 4:4:4 and 1080P 120Hz over Hdmi 2.0 but neather of these resolution work. if I switch to 30hz 4k work and 60Hz 1080P but I game at 120hz 1080P and work at 4k 60hz with 4:4:4 being a must.

for the life of me I cant figure out how to get this to work. I see lots of people saying with Nvidia card to switch between RGB and ycbcr but I don’t get those options with AMD.

I seem to be able to do 4k60 4:2:0 to my vizio 70P but it doesn’t support 4:4:4

I will be pulling one of my gtx 970’s from my gaming rig and testing the tv with the native HDMI 2 port in the next couple days but I would rather just fix the AMD problem as its a PITA to get the cards out of my gaming rig.

HI Guentha,

Did you try the making the Cusotm Resolution with TIming Standard set to CVT-Reduced Blanking ?

on 17-07-2016

I have not but will do that today and give it a shot.

tried Custom Resolution with TIming Standard set to CVT-Reduced Blanking but no joy.

tried both 3840×2160 60 and 1920×1080 120 both produce a no input error on the TV.

just for fun I tried all the other timing standards as well with no luck.

I switched color depth to 8 bit but it also didn’t help.

I have the 830c model. I have no luck either.

I will pull a gtx 970 tomorrow from my gaming rig and make sure there is nothing going on with the TV.

I did get 1080 at 120hz on my Vizio p series so I know the adapter and card can do it but my Vizio can’t do 4k 60 with 4:4:4 so I couldn’t test that.

TV handles both 1080P 120hz and 4k 60HZ from a gtx 970.

looks like the problem is in the adapter itself.
