Is there likely to be an upgrade to this adapter so that it will work with M3 MacBooks or is there a work around or another way of driving an old apple cinema 30 display?

What does not work? It should work correctly with the Sonoma 14.4 update

Thanks for the prompt reply.  The text on the club-3d website – https://club-3d.com/en/detail/2525/ – says that the adaptor does not work with M3 MacBook devices.  I was planning to upgrade to M3 MacBook Air in a few weeks so althought I’ve already bought the adaptor to use with my current M1 Macbook I cannot actually test it on M3 yet.  There is a suggested ‘fix’ on YouTube that uses the M3 MacBook Pro HDMI output via an HDMI to USB C adaptor connected to the CAC 1510-A.  I really wanted to know if I could use it successfully with an M3 MacBook Air.

The YouTube ‘fix’ is at – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_kCncb3s9Dc – confusingly it presents as if the data flow is from the display to the MacBook Pro but seems to work.
