CSV-1599 ethernet intermittent disconnects

Hello

I’m using the above product with macbook pro M4. Every 15-30 minutes the network disconnects. to make it work again, I need to disconnect the DS and reconnect or disable/enable the network adapter.

This could be caused by Windows power saving features. Try going to Device Manager -> Properties of our product (could be a USB hub or network device) -> Power Management and then don’t allow Windows to save power. Share the results! 🙂

I’m also having similar issues with the 1599 and M3 MacBook Pro.  The 1599 doesn’t seem to sync correctly from the MacBook when it wakes from sleep causing the keyboard to be missing or not light up, or unusual lighting colors.  Sometimes the HDMI doesn’t turn on.

 

The bad solution has been to disconnect the 1599 from the MacBook and reconnect it.

 

Is there a firmware update?

We’ve tried to replicate the issue on our side, but everything appears to be working correctly in our tests. To help us investigate further, could you please provide a bit more information that might help us pinpoint the cause?

  • The exact model and year of your MacBook Pro

  • macOS version currently installed

  • Whether the issue occurs when Power Delivery (PD) is connected or only without PD

  • Are there any other devices connected to the dock at the same time?

  • Any patterns you’ve noticed before the disconnection (e.g., sleep/wake, high network load, etc.)

This information would really help us better understand the situation and offer a solution. As for firmware updates: currently, there are no available updates for this product, but we are actively monitoring the situation.
