Hello,

I own an Nvidia Shield TV set top box which supports streaming content from Netflix in 4K as long as it is connected to an HDCP 2.2 compliant monitor or TV.

My problem is, the monitor I have only has a Displayport 1.2 but no HDCP 2.2 ports. If I use this adapter from Displayport 1.2 to HDMI 2.0, will I be able to use the streaming service?

Thank you

Marios

Hi Marios50,

The HDCP protection needs to be able to establish that both source and destination device,
ín this case Shield and TV, are HDCP2.2 compliant. The Adapter can handle that HDCP signal
in both 1.3 and 2.2, so it will not be “in the way”, but it will not make your screen/tv hdcp 2.2 compliant.
