I tried Club 3D’s USB type C to Dual Link Dvi-D adapter (CAC-1510) with my Dell U3011 monitor and MacBook Pro 16″.  I’m plugged into the Dell-provided cable that is dual link DVI-D on both ends.

The picture is great for 2.5 seconds, then the picture is snowy for almost 8 seconds, then the cycle repeats again and again.  Frustrating.  I’ve tried switching the ends of the Dell dual-link dvi-d cable, turning the monitor on and off, tightening connections…no luck. It all produces the same cycle of great and then unacceptable pictures.
