Greetings,

I am wondering if anyone knows if the CAC-1170, Active Mini DisplayPort (1.2, aka Thunderbolt 2)  to HDMI 2.0 Adapter is compatible with the appropriate Mac Pro 2013 (Family 6,1) ?

Intended use =

CAC-1170, Active Mini DisplayPort (1.2, aka Thunderbolt 2) to HDMI 2.0 Adapter with Mac Pro 2013 (Family 6,1), hoping to achieve a 60Hz refresh rate signal to compliment the 4K HDR TV

Hi Dlcatftwin,

Mini DisplayPort 1.2 is not Thunderbolt 2. The connector is the same but the technology is different. Keep that in mind. It’s like saying USB-C is the same as Thunderbolt 3 ;).

Check these;

Based on the above articles I would say yes CAC-1170 should work for your setup.
